Ferncourt Public School in Marrickville will throw open its gates on Saturday 13 May, 2017 for its famous, biennial Family Fair day. This is the fair’s 10th anniversary, so it will be HUGE, and promises to be the best yet. There’ll be plenty of treats for Mum for Mother’s Day, including gorgeous hand-made treasures from the legendary
craft stall; plants, flowers and gift hampers. Kids can also give their gift the personal touch by hand-crafting something special at the badge and card-making stall, or including a unique photo taken in the pop-up photo booth. Other stalls include
pre-loved books, a White Elephant, and delicious edible treats. And, if that’s not enough, there’ll be lots of prizes to be won on the traditional Tombola. Kids will be kept entertained with rides, mega-slime, face-painting, dress ups, a lucky dip, and lots of other stalls to spend their pocket money at. Live music will delight the ears the whole day across two stages, featuring renowned singer songwriters and
Marrickville locals, Bernie Hayes, Julia Richardson and Bonnie Kay. Other talented acts performing on the day include school bands, choirs and performance groups.
Food available will include Devonshire teas, fairy floss, pancakes, gelato and baked goods will keep sweet tooths satisfied, while savoury meals from paella, and Vietnamese and Indonesian food will keep tummies full. And, no fair is complete without a sausage sizzle. Award winning coffee and pink salted caramel cookies will be available on site, courtesy of some of the areas best baristas. Don’t miss the
Fern court Family Fair on Saturday 13 May, 10am – 4pm. Help support your local school community, and come along for some great music, fine food and drink, gorgeous crafts and lots of fun.
