We are looking for two proactive legal secretaries to join our team. We have a full-time role and a part-time role. We would like to hear from candidates with at least 2 years’ experience. Each role will provide support to a team of 5 or 6 practitioners in one of Australia’s leading employment and industrial relations law firms. The roles we have available will provide you with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills in a very supportive environment.

What do we need from you?
• a strong client service mentality along with comprehensive and proactive management of solicitors legal practices, including such tasks as:
o e-filing, including email account management, paper filing plus archiving
photocopying – general copying as well as preparation of briefs to counsel and other similar tasks
o entering timesheets on a daily basis for those practitioners who utilise them
assisting solicitors with their general practice management – engagement materials, revised estimates, file closures, diary management, contacting clients etc
o digital transcription typing
o reception cover
o meet & greet clients
o participating in firm wide consultation and committees
o other ad hoc duties as required by your team and the firm

What are we looking for in a candidate?
• a minimum of 2 years’ secretarial experience in a legal environment
• completion of secretarial or business studies
• excellent PC skills, including experience with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel
experience using FileSite and Open Practice an advantage
• minimum 65 wpm typing skills with high accuracy
• strong ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to be a vital team member
• lots of self motivation and the ability to work well with all staff
• strong sense of commitment and follow through on the completion of tasks
• excellent time management and communication skills
• high attention to detail
• open and flexible attitude to tasks
