Our team is growing and we have a new opportunity for a strong Tax Manager seeking to move into national role within our Tax Quality and Risk team in Sydney CBD.
In this critical national role you will ensure technical excellence within the Tax practice by producing external and internal technical materials (guidance, alerts, thought leadership pieces, training materials) and assisting in promoting brand awareness externally as well as support for the appropriate structure to drive quality and excellence through training, systems and processes.
You will have the opportunity to work flexibly in this role and will consider 4 days per week, school hours or full time as well as working from home.
Research and write internal and external guidance, alerts and thought leadership pieces for review by the National Tax Technical leader
Promote development of Service Line risk management, compliance and quality best practice
Promote a culture that fosters quality, risk and compliance in the conduct of our business
Manage an Administrator (Adelaide based)
Actively contribute to firm wide initiatives and manage roll out of firm wide quality and excellence initiatives
Support the Heads of Quality and Excellence Tax in recording and managing complaints and other service line issue management processes and monitor improvement actions
Develop and manage the centralised client acceptance department
Actively contribute to the development and distribution of service line/offering technical excellence tools, processes and practices across the service line
Promote a culture that fosters quality, risk and compliance in the conduct of the business
Skills and experience
Degree qualifications in Commerce/Business or related discipline
Proficiency in taxation with a background in professional services or law
Extensive compliance experience with an understanding of relevant tax legislation and regulations
Experience in managing risk and compliance issues
Ability to write and research at a professional level
Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills
Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
Ability to manage remotely and foster inclusive leadership
