Welcome the Year of the Pig at Cabramatta's Lunar New Year Festivities

Cabramatta will host two days of Lunar New Year festivities on Saturday and Sunday 16–17 February to welcome the Year of the Pig.

This significant cultural event, which runs from 9 am–4 pm on both days in Freedom Plaza, is an opportunity to come together to wish family and friends happiness, health and prosperity and enjoy the vibrant cultural festivities.

Cabramatta will come alive with culinary delights, colour and activity, including the God of Fortune, lion dancing, firecrackers, traditional performers and exciting entertainment for the whole family. A highlight for many young children will be a special visit from Peppa Pig!

The official ceremony by Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone will be held on Saturday 16 February at 11 am. The traditional blessing of the Cabramatta community will take place on Sunday 17 February at 10 am.

Cabramatta is just 45 minutes by train from the Sydney CBD and is a popular destination for dining and entertainment.
